It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Chief Emeritus Warren D. Neely. Warren was a true servant in Lower Merion starting his career early on as a Firefighter with Narberth Fire Company. At age 21, he joined Union Fire Association. During this time period, he was also a member of Narberth Ambulance. In 1975, Warren and his wife Ronnie moved to the Penn Wynne community, and he joined Penn Wynne Fire Company - Station 21 on April 15, 1975. Warren recently celebrated 50 years of service and 5,500 calls answered with us. He remained active on our brigade and board until his passing. Warren held many positions within the fire company including Engineer, Lieutenant, Deputy Chief, Chief, and Director. His contributions to the Company and Township are numerous. Later next week, we will pay our respects and honor Warren for his life of service. Rest easy Chief. Keep watch over us and continue to smile down on us. We’ll take it from here.
