Wynne Fire Company attended a memorial service held at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetary. Following the
memorial service, Engine 21 headed to Gladwyne to participate in their Memorial Day Parade.

The Penn Wynne Fire Company is proud to announce the release of our
new photo gallery. The photo gallery is broken down into five categories, with specific incidents and events
under each category. This new photo management system will enable us to post more pictures, more often, in a
large format that is more desirable. In addition, the new gallery contains interactive features such as the

SQUAD COVERS STATION 24

At 8:44pm, Station 21 was dispatched to the Gladwyne Fire Company
for an engine to cover their station while they operated on an extended hazardous materials incident at the
Philadelphia Country Club. Since Engine 21 was out of service for the day at Detroit Diesel for repairs on a
nationwide factory recall, Squad 21 under the command of 21-51 (T. Schmid) went on the cover up assignment.
While on the cover, Assistant Chief Watrous sharpened his skills on marine rescue operations. Squad 21
remained at Station 24 for just under two hours and went on no calls.
CAR FIRE ON CITY AVENUE

At 2:30pm, Engine 21 and Squad 21 were hit out for a car fire just past the
intersection of City Ave. and Lancaster Ave. Engine 21 with 8 under the command of 21-52 (M. Gilbert) responded and
arrived on location with smoke coming from the engine area with the hood already popped. The crew from Engine 21 led off
with the 1.75" front line and wet down the transmission area of the Ferrari, along with securing the power by cutting the
battery. Station 21 was made available at 2:45pm.
PENN WYNNE RECOGNIZED BY PA STATE FIRE COMMISSIONER

The officers and members of the Penn Wynne Fire Company are proud
to announce that the Penn Wynne Fire Company has been recognized by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner
for achieving the Silver level of certification. The Silver level is achieved by having atleast 75% of our
members certified at the National Firefighter I level. Additionally, for participating in this certification
program, stickers recognizing this achievement were provided and have been put on our trucks. To find out more

PASSING OF CHIEF EMERITUS NELS "SWEDE" ANDERSON

The officers and members of the Penn Wynne - Overbrook Hills Fire
Company regretfully announce the passing of Chief Emeritus Nels "Swede" Anderson. Nels joined the fire company in
March of 1943. During his twenty-five plus years of service, he served as the 5th chief of the Penn Wynne
Fire Company. Funeral arrangements are as follows.

9:00am - Service held at the Penn Wynne Presbyterian Church (Overbrook Parkway & Haverford Road). Following, there will be a
funeral prosession to the Northwood Cemetary, 15th & Haines Streets, Philadelphia.
12:45pm - Friends and family are invited back to the Penn Wynne Fire
Company for a luncheon.
