Engine 21 with 5 covered Station 25 (Ardmore) while they attended
the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals baseball game at Citizens Bank Ballpark. Although Station
25 had seven runs for the day, none came while we covered their house. Thanks to the 25 House for the invite
and providing dinner.

The Penn Wynne Fire Company would like to express our sincere
condolences to the friends and family of John Kulick and to the Centre Square Fire Company. John, a Pennsylvania
National Guard member, was killed in northern Iraq when his patrol, "10 Task Force Liberty", was fired upon by
Iraqi insurgents. John was a Career Firefighter/EMT with the Centre Square Fire Company in Whitpain Township,
Montgomery County.
MVA AT HAVERFORD & MORRIS ROADS

At 8:26pm, Engine and Squad 21 were dispatched to the intersection
of Haverford Rd. and Morris Rd. to standby for a motor vehicle accident. Engine 21 with 6, arrived on location
and found a fuel spill resulting from an accident involving two automobiles. Crews from Engine and Squad 21
disconnected the batteries of the two vehicles involved and spread oil dry to absorb the leaking fuel. There
were no injuries resulting from the accident and crews cleared at 8:56pm.
At 4:36pm, Station 28 (Cynwyd), Squad 22 (Belmont Hills), and Squad 21 were dispatched to City Ave. and Drexel Rd.
for a vehicle rescue, with reports of a car into a pole. County radio advised that the pin was on
the Philadelphia side and that Philadelphia Fire Department was dispatched as well. 28-51 (Deputy
Chief S. Weber) requested all Lower Merion Fire Department units to proceed in until confirmation
from a fire officer. Squad 21 arrived shortly after and prepared to go in service for patient
extrication. Crews from Squad 21 along with the Philadelphia Fire Department, collectively worked
to extricate the driver of the vehicle. Extrication was complete at 4:55pm.
SMOKE IN THE DWELLING ON CROSSHILL RD

At 9:16pm, Station 21 was dispatched to the 100 block of Crosshill Road for a building, with a report
of smoke coming from the air conditioner vent. Upon further investigation, crews from Engine and
Ladder 21 discovered a defective air conditioning handler in the attic, which led to the burning of
insulation. Crews de-energized and disassembled the A/C unit, and removed the charred insulation.
Ventilation was performed and Station 21 was made available at 10:01pm.
