In addition, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served, not only those who died, have sacrificed and done their duty. Currently, in the Penn Wynne Fire Company membership, we have veterans from every period of conflict from World War II to our current conflicts overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Penn Wynne Fire Company would like to thank those veterans in our membership along with all servicemen and women that have helped to protect our country.
