2006 SOCIAL A BIG SUCCESS!
Date: 2/23/06 The Active Members Club of the Penn Wynne Fire Company would like to thank all the local surrounding companies and their members who showed up at Penn Wynne's 2006 Social. This year, we had one of the best turn outs we have ever had. A big thanks goes out to President of the Active Member Club, Domenick Crimi for leading the successful event and the rest of the brigade who pitched in to setup the firehouse for the event and obtain door prizes. Thanks again and hope to see everyone next year.

PARTY FOR FIREFIGHTER FEDER
Date: 2/18/06 Tonight, family and fellow firefighters of Engineer/Senior Firefighter Chris T. Feder gathered at Henley Command for a farewell party in his honor. Chris recently decided to serve his country by joining the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He leaves Tuesday the 21st for 18 weeks of basic and speciality training as a combat engineer. Everyone had a great time hanging out, and pitched in to get Chris an "iPod Nano", once he's allowed to have it that is. On behalf of the officers and members of the Penn Wynne Fire Company, we wish you luck and we'll see you in the summer.

SNOWSTORM HITS THE KINGDOM
Date: 2/11/06 On Saturday, February 11, 2006 snow began to fall in the Kingdom. The snow fell all night into Sunday morning. During the storm, eight volunteers provided staffing and cleaned the snow around the station in case of an emergency. Although we had no calls, members kept themselves busy with snow removal, a game of Texas Hold 'Em, and the occasional snow ball fight.

ELECTRIC POLE FIRE
Date: 2/8/06 On Febuary 8th around 5 AM, the 21 house was alerted for an electrical pole on fire with police on location. Engine 21 responded under the command of 21-52 (Gilbert) and found wires down and a pole on fire. Peco was notified and the company was made available around 5:30 AM.

PENN WYNNE HONORS FALLEN PHILLY FIREFIGHTER
Date: 2/4/06 On Saturday, Febuary 4th, Members from Stations 21 and 26 setup a ladder arch on City Line Avenue between Wynnewood Road and Lancaster Avenue for a fallen member of the Philadelphia Fire Department. Firefighter Tracy Champion died in the line of duty while battling a house fire on Saturday, January 28, 2006. The officers and members of the Penn Wynne - Overbrook Hills Fire Company send their deepest condolences to the the Champion family and the Philadelphia Fire Department. A special thanks goes out to Station 26 for assisting us with the arch in honor of Brother Champion.
