At approximately 13:00 hrs the rescue assignment was struck for Lancaster and N. Bryn Mawr Ave. Police were on scene and reported one vehicle on its side with one occupant trapped. Rescue 21 responded with 6 under the command of Deputy 21 (T. Schmid). Rescue 21 arrived on scene and assisted Squad 23 with stabilization. Once stabilized both crews began to extricate the patient by means of removing the roof. Rescue 22 arrived on scene and assisted the crews already on scene. Extrication was complete shortly after the 20 minute mark. The patient was then flown to a local trauma center. Crews were available in less than an hour.

Congratulations to Firefighters Dan Gilbert, Chrissy Neely, Glenn Montgomery and Will Neely on receiving a scholarship from the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. Penn Wynne was the only company who had four members receive scholarships. This scholarship program is designed for volunteer emergency service personnel in the Main Line area. Congratulations to all of the winners.
