END OF THE YEAR PIN JOB
Date: 12/31/07 The 2007 year started off with a vehicle rescue call and ended with one this evening around 7:30PM. Station 25, Rescue 22, and Rescue 21 were dispatched to the intersection of County Line Road and Ardmore Avenue for a reported person trapped in a vehicle after the accident. Engine 25 arrived on scene a reported a passenger side door to go, and pulled a protective 2” hand line. Rescue 21 arrived next, quickly popped to door, and assisted EMS with removing the occupant from the vehicle. Chief 25 (T. Hayden, Jr.) had the command.

SANTA RIDES AGAIN
Date: 12/23/07 A little rain couldn’t keep Santa away from the firehouse today, as the volunteers of the Penn Wynne Fire Company transported him around our district to see the community. While we did have a few rain delays, Santa completed his mission and quickly departed back to the North Pole.

IT'S OFFICIAL: SANTA IS COMING TO TOWN
Date: 12/11/07 The Penn Wynne Fire Company has put in their request to the North Pole for Santa to come visit the community on Sunday December 23, 2007. We will be transporting him through the neighborhood, so listen up for the sirens. When you see the fire truck coming down your block, your family can come curbside and meet Santa and his helpers. We will be handing out candy canes to all the good boys and girls. We look forward to seeing you!

AFA TURNS INTO A BUILDING
Date: 12/07/07 In the afternoon hours, the company was dispatched to the 1200 block of Remington Road for the automatic alarm system. As Engine 21’s crew made their way up the driveway to meet up with our local police officer, an odor of something burning was detected. Crews made a visual inspection through the windows and observed a smoke condition inside. Crews from Engine and Ladder 21 forced entry into the home, where they found a haze of smoke throughout. Engineer 21-2 (Millay) established the command and requested a second company be dispatched, bringing Station 26 (Narberth). An intense search inside the home eventually found the culprit, an elevator motor. Crews secured the motor and ventilated the smoke.
