REST IN PEACE HAHN
Date: 3/28/08 It is a sad day for the company, as we received word that our beloved 1984 Hahn pumper that was sold to the City of Chester in 2003 has answered her final call. The truck suffered a significant mechanical break down, and the cost of the repairs to fix her would not be economical. She served our company with honor for years, pumping water as fast as she could. Her most notable fire would be pumping at The Great Kiddie City fire of 1988. After being sold to Chester, she served them for four years, seeing more action then her entire tenure at the 21 house. But alas, her time has come to pump no more. Thanks to our brothers in Chester for the update and pics.

ALL HANDS WORK IN ARDMORE
Date: 3/27/08 Around 3:30 AM the company was dispatched on the working fire upgrade to the 100 block of Cricket Avenue in Ardmore. Stations 25 (Ardmore) and 23 (Bryn Mawr) had been dispatched for a reported fire on the porch of a triplex apartment house. Assistant 25-1 (VanDyke) arrived quickly and reported heavy fire conditions in a large house converted to apartments, with all residents reported out of the building. Engine 21 arrived with a crew of 7 and was ordered by 25 Command to put a 2 ½ inch line in service from Engine 25, and have Engine 21 reverse lay a 5 inch street line. Once the fire was knocked from the outside, Station 21 members augmented the first alarm companies in opening up the 2nd floor and checking for extension. A total of four (4) 1 ¾ lines were used, one portable deck gun, and three streets lines established. Engine 21 laid approximately 800 feet of 5 inch line. Other responding units were Engine 24 for RIT, Air 24, Delco Rescue 15 as a second RIT, Medic 313 and Ambo 15-7. Chief 25 (T. Hayden Jr.) had the 25 Command. The fire is being investigated by the LMFD.
