FIRST DUE STOVE FIRE
Date: 6/22/07 In the mid-afternoon, the company was dispatched along with Station 26 (Narberth) to the Greenhill Condos on City Avenue for a reported fire in an apartment on the third floor. The crew from Engine 21 discovered that the working stove fire was extinguished by maintenance prior to their arrival. Engines 21 & 26 were in service for ventilation and to check for possible extension, which there was none. Medic 313 was requested to evaluate the resident. Chief 21 had the command.

CONGRATULATIONS CHIEF FALLON
Date: 6/16/08 Congratulations Chief Fallon, on being elected to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Associations of Arson Investigators. This is a five year term as one of the Directors of the Board. To learn about this agency, visit their website www.paai.org.

FIRST DUE VEHICLE FIRE
Date: 6/13/08 Just before midnight, the company was dispatched to Clothier and Ashton Roads in our first due for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 21 arrived to find the fire already extinguished. The vehicle owner reported putting on his turn signal, and then seeing flames in his side view mirror coming from the rear of the vehicle. He then used a dry chemical extinguisher to put the fire out. Crews secured the power to the vehicle and pulled away some of the interior molding to check for any possible extension or smoldering fire.

FAST TEAM TO ARDMORE
Date: 6/12/08 Around 9:30PM, Rescue 21 was added to the working fire dispatch to Ardmore Acura on Lancaster Avenue. First arriving crews arrived to find a trash can well off with a sprinkler activation. The fire was quickly placed under control and Rescue 21 was recalled while enroute.

RAIN + WINDS = FIRE CALLS
Date: 6/10/08 With thunderstorms in the township, there is bound to be a fire call. Around 7PM a vehicle rescue call went out for Conshohoken State Road and Springmill Road for a tree with wires down on a car. Engine 24 arrived on scene and corrected the location to be Springmill and Morris, which added Squad 23 to the assignment since it was in their first due. Rescue crews arrived to find the driver to not be injured, but a large tree with live wires on top of it. A Priority 1 call to PECO was made for their response, and once power was secured, the operator was safety removed from the vehicle.

THE ORIGINAL ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND
Date: 6/7/08 This Saturday the company traveled up the street to the Penn Wynne Elementary School to participate in the annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand. The company has participated in this event since it started a few years ago, and we are proud to help support the fight against pediatric cancer. The crew conducted tours of the apparatus, and posed for pictures with some of Sixers dancer.

RESCUE LOCAL
Date: 6/5/08 Around 7PM a rescue assignment was dispatched to Lancaster Avenue and Remington Road in our first due. Police were on location with one subjected stuck in the vehicle. Rescue 21 arrived to find the driver of one vehicle confined in his vehicle, which was resting on its side. After consulting with the medics on scene, it was determined that the driver was not injured and an opening was needed for the driver to escape. The crews from both Rescue and Engine 21 stabilized the vehicle using cribbing and struts, and removed the front windshield. The company was available shortly thereafter once the vehicle was righted.
