Just after 1PM companies from the Haverford Township Bureau of Fire were dispatched to Farwood Road for a reported house fire with a resident trapped inside. Captain 35 arrived on scene and reported a working fire and requested Engine 21 to assist. Engine 21 arrived as the second piece of apparatus and was instructed to deploy a second handline. Crews worked together to extinguisher a fire in the basement of the home and confirm that the resident had already been removed from the dwelling. E25-1 from the Merion FIre Company was also dispatched as an additional RIT company.
