Tonight, Penn Wynne Firefighters simulated a vehicle rescue at drill. With a vehicle turned on its side, rescuers practiced their skills of stabilizing the vehicle, gaining access to the two patients inside, and performing tasks that led to the successful extrication of both occupants. The two occupants included a child manikin in the rear seat along with an adult manikin (in firefighter gear) in the driver's seat. The manikins are valuable training aids and are often used in firefighter training.
