Just after 12 noon today the woods/field assignment went out for Ballytore Road with the report of a large fire in the backyard involving grass, shrubs, fencing, and a shed that was approximately 20 feet from the house. Power lines were down and PECO was requested to respond. Engine 21 made the response with special calls for Engines 26 (Narberth) and 25-1 (Ardmore) to assist. Units operated for just under an hour. Lower Merion 5 had command. FM-34 1, 2, & 4 were on scene to assist. Multiple hand lines were in service to extinguish the fire.
