Lower Merion Township Burn Ban in Effect

Lower Merion Township has declared a temporary burn ban effective Friday, November 1, 2024 and will last 30 days, expiring on Saturday, November 30, 2024, due to the record setting extended period of dry conditions affecting Lower Merion Township and the potential for uncontrollable fire spread and wildfires.

This burn ban prohibits open fires, including recreational fire pits and fireworks within Lower Merion Township.

All Lower Merion Township issued recreational fire permits will be revoked during the burn ban. Lower Merion is committed to the safety of our community and we thank you for your cooperation, as we work together to keep our Township and its residents safe. Please direct any questions to the Fire Marshal’s Office at 610-645-6190.
